Spiritual Communion For those without access to the Blessed Sacrament.
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Liturgy of the Hours What is it? How do I do it?
Liturgy of the Hours (a.k.a Divine Office or the Breviary) is a form of daily prayer "marking the hours of each day and sanctifying the day with prayer." In times of isolation, it is great resource to stay connected to the universal church in prayer. Below is a link to the daily readings, as well as a guide on what it is/how to pray it.
It takes an active effort to continue faith formation while apart from a faith community. To bridge this gap, we propose reading a text as a community from which fruitful discussions can continue among friends regardless of where we are.
Monday:The Saint is a Man (p. 37 - 40) Tuesday:The Consciousness of Incapability (p. 41 - 43) Wednesday:Affection for Christ (p. 45-54) Thursday:Part of a People (p. 55-60) Friday:Conclusion (p. 61-62)
During this time, Magnificat is offering FREE online access. Magnificat is a monthly publication designed for daily use, to encourage both liturgical and personal prayer. It can be used to follow daily Mass and can also be read at home or wherever you find yourself for personal or family prayer! gtcc.co//Magnificat
