40 Days for Life

Each semester we take part in 40 Days for Life here in Atlanta.
Through our calm and prayerful presence, we hope to send a powerful message to the community about the injustice of abortion. We act as a reminder for those entering the facility of another way and can be an indication towards repentance for the facility staff and/or unnecessarily belligerent patronizers.

We are always looking for drivers and passengers to go in the morning for a brief vigil.  Sign up at

What Saves us from Nothingness?
Julián Carrón
What Saves us from Nothingness is Julián Carrón's notes for a retreat given each year, and is especially helpful during this time as a reminder to not slide into isolation, compromise, or hopelessness. Carrón discusses this question and the importance of continuing to grapple with it during this time, insisting "this has not eliminated the question; if anything, it has made it even more acute, because of the nature of the challenge we are facing throughout the world. Precisely the situation that has developed makes it even more urgent to grapple with this question, seeking an answer able to meet it."

We are continuing to work on this text on Friday mornings at 7 AM on the CC patio. All are welcome! Masks & Social distancing are required.

You can read the entire text here.

Faith at Home
Mass Broadcasts & Readings

Although many of us do not have access to Mass, we can still engage in our faith by reading daily scripture and through viewing various online and televised broadcasts. Use the links below to find Mass broadcasts as well as the daily readings.
Spiritual Communion
For those without access to the Blessed Sacrament.

My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.

Liturgy of the Hours
What is it?  How do I do it?
Liturgy of the Hours (a.k.a Divine Office or the Breviary) is a form of daily prayer "marking the hours of each day and sanctifying the day with prayer." In times of isolation, it is great resource to stay connected to the universal church in prayer. Below is a link to the daily readings, as well as a guide on what it is/how to pray it.
