Hello there! My name is Michael Smith. I am the Grand Knight for our Knights of Columbus Council here at Georgia Tech. I’ve been “living the dream” by attending Georgia Tech. It’s been a place of great fun, exciting challenges, and new experiences for me. My favorite place to be on campus is definitely the Catholic Center. I started getting involved by helping out with renovations to the sanctuary when I was a summer freshman. From there, I got more involved and currently lead a Bible study (we have HUUUGE amounts of fun!), serve as a sacristan, and participate in the liturgy in various roles such as altar server and lector. Our Knights council is made up of a great group of guys devoted to growing in fraternity with Christ and with one another. We do several events throughout the year such as hikes, a Habitat for Humanity build in the fall, and our famous St. Valentine’s Dinner for the ladies. In my spare time, I really enjoy playing sports and video games, hanging out with friends, jamming out on the piano, and listening to too much music. If you ever have any questions regarding our Knights Council or the Catholic Center in general, please don’t ever hesitate to reach out to me. Hopefully you can join our awesome fraternity!
