Hey y’all! My name is Sarah Pennebaker and I am from Augusta, Georgia. I am a second-year student majoring in Neuroscience and planning on pursuing medical school who also LOVES history, hiking, and everything Catholic. I am so excited to be the CSO secretary for this year! During my first year at Tech, I started getting involved through my bible study leaders as they encouraged each of us to take on Holy Hours. From speakers and movie nights to retreats and Theology of the Body, the wonderful community at the CC slowly became a much larger part of my life at Tech. Outside of the Catholic Center, I am a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and a researcher in the Agarwal Natural Products Lab. If you ever have questions about stress at Tech, I highly recommend Searching for and Maintaining Peace by Fr. Jacques Philippe. His writings teach how to use the stresses and anxieties of your life to place every ounce of our confidence in God, something I always need a reminder of. My favorite hike in the entire world is – as of today – the Grand Balcon Nord route in Chamonix, France, and I am always down to talk about travel, peace, politics, biochemistry, and the saints.
