Ways to Give

There are multiple areas to support within the Catholic Center. Each one falls under our overall fundraising goal for the fiscal year. When you support us through any one area, you are supporting our overall mission and promoting evangelization on Georgia Tech’s campus and beyond. We thank you in advance for your kind consideration and support!

Give Online

Giving online is the easiest and most secure way to make a gift. When you visit ParishSOFT, you can make a one-time or recurring donation to any of our funds. Please see our main fund descriptions below.

General Fund
To make the most immediate impact on the highest priority projects for the Catholic Center, make a gift to the General Fund.

Chaplain’s Choice
Our Chaplain helps make all financial decisions. A gift that is designated as “Chaplain’s Choice” will allow our chaplain to use those funds to best meet the needs of the Catholic Center and the students. Like the General Fund, this fund has an immediate impact on the Catholic Center.

Offertory
Any gift to the Catholic Center could be counted as a tithe to the Catholic Church, but this fund is for those who’d like to mark their donation as an offering. All offertory gifts collected during and outside of the Mass are used for General Fund purposes.

Building Fund
The Catholic Center has an ongoing list of special projects to ensure that students can continue to access Catholic formation in a space that reflects beauty and goodness. This is a restricted fund, meaning that your donation will only go toward the capital improvements of our building.

FOCUS
Our FOCUS Missionaries are a big part of our mission. The cost to have one missionary on campus is around $19,000 per year. We currently have five serving with us. Contributing to this fund will go directly toward the FOCUS campus fee which enables us to have more missionaries on our campus.

Mental Health Fund
If our Chaplain believes a student should receive mental health counseling but the student does not have the financial means to pay for it on their own, this fund helps to offset the cost for them. We work with Holy Family Counseling Center to help mentally and financially support students in need of counseling.

Endowment
To make the most enduring impact on the Catholic Center, consider establishing an endowed fund. A gift to our current endowment will also have an everlasting impact on our students, as only the interest income is used, leaving the corpus intact to continue to grow our future. We work with the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia to manage our endowments.

Chapel Fund
Our chapel is a sacred space that must be cared for in a delicate way and with a high degree of respect. Chapels have many specific, and oftentimes, expensive needs and ours is no different. Like our Building Fund, this is a restricted fund and your donation will only go toward the specific needs and improvements of our chapel.

Retreat Fund
We have several retreats throughout the year including our annual Fall Retreat and OCIA candidates retreat. Donations to this fund will help cover retreat costs, fees, and sponsoring students to attend.

Student Ministries
We have many activities and ministries for all members of our community to join and participate in! Give here if there is a specific activity, event, or ministry that you would like to support. Please be sure to earmark its designation in the comments. Some examples include our pro-life ministry, our annual Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance, and tailgates.

Restricted
If none of our funds fit a description for your gift, you can give to our Restricted Fund and earmark exactly what your gift is for.

Matching Gifts

Hundreds of companies across the country encourage employees to contribute to their favorite charitable organizations by matching dollar for dollar the amount of your gift. Some will even double or triple the amount. We encourage you to inquire about a Matching Gifts program at your place of employment. If they require a Federal Tax ID number, please use 45-3659617.

Give by Stock Transfer

Giving to the GTCC with appreciated stocks, mutual funds, or bonds can be a significant tax benefit to you. You may avoid capital gains taxes while receiving a charitable deduction based on the full amount of the asset. Please contact Amy Santana at asantana@gtcatholic.org for further details and instructions.
